SOUP designed the first issue of Ödd Paper, a newspaper launched at Ödd Üniverse’s LDF 2025 event – The Drinks Lab.
The paper is punched through with two eye holes, inspired by Ödd Üniverse’s ‘Peepers’ stools and branding. Part catalogue, part cultural editorial, the newspaper assembled essays, recipes and reflections on design as a mindset – a printed extension of the Ödd Üniverse itself.
The Drinks Lab, a collaboration between Ödd Universe × ▲■●, was where this newspaper made its debut: a performative, drinks-led installation at House of Icon during London Design Festival. But it was never meant to be an exhibition handout. It was a piece in its own right — something to take home, keep, and add to your own universe.
Like the Lab, this first edition of the Ödd Universe paper was built entirely on collaboration. Every page came from conversations, shared tables, and the kind of cross-pollination that happened when people from different worlds met and made something together. Our contributors — designers, chefs, artists, writers, friends — didn’t just work in design; they lived it as a mindset. Designed by SOUP, it was as much their vision on paper as it was the voices within it.
