In March 2025, Odd Universe took over the No Panic Coffee shop for ten days.
The café became a temporary extension of our studio practice — a place where furniture, food, and social rituals met in everyday use.
Across the takeover, we hosted a series of supper clubs, shared tables, a wine tasting, and an opening and a closing party. In collaboration with Yo What’s Cooking, Mochi, and Kommod, the space shifted from a café to a dining room.
Our aluminium stools The Peepers and dining pieces Chubb were not just displayed but: used, moved, stacked, and occupied throughout the day and into the nights.
Rather than an exhibition, the takeover was an experiment in context — testing how objects behave when embedded in real life, and how design can quietly frame social interaction without directing it.
